Intensive In-Home (IIH) Services for Youth with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)
Intensive In-Home Services means an array of rehabilitation and/or habilitation services delivered face-to-face as a defined set of interventions by clinically licensed or certified practitioners. Rehabilitation services are short term medical or remedial services designed for the restoration of a child, youth, adolescent or young adult under the age of 21, (hereafter referred to as youth), to his or her best possible functional level after an acute episode of physical or mental disability or a long term mental illness. Habilitation services are long term supports designed to assist youth with I/DD in acquiring, retaining, and improving the self-help, socialization and adaptive skills necessary to function successfully at home, at school, and in community-based settings.
